Snap Lock Fascia is the metal that covers the fascia board along the edge of the roof. A snap lock cleat gets fastened to the fascia first; the ¾″ hook on the top leg snaps down over that cleat, the 6″ face hangs flat, and the ¾″ kick at the bottom hooks back in to hold the line straight. Both hook edges are hemmed. Because it hangs on the cleat, there are no fasteners showing on the face. We brake-form it in your gauge and color, up to 10′ a piece, on our 5-business-day fabrication from initial payment. Sold as fascia sections only — the snap lock cleat is not included in the section price. Add the cleat on the custom order form and we’ll quote it with the job.

Snap Lock Fascia is fabricated from steel and finished in your choice of standard or custom color with a durable factory paint finish. The substrate carries the mill’s coating; the paint finish carries the coating manufacturer’s warranty. 24 gauge is our standard for fascia because it stays flat over a long run; 26 gauge is available. Tell us your color and gauge and we’ll match the job.

Snap Lock Fascia hangs on a cleat, so the cleat goes on first. Snap a chalk line and fasten the continuous cleat straight along the fascia board, fastening roughly 12″ on center and keeping the cleat tight to the line — the fascia is only as straight as the cleat. Set the top leg of the fascia under the edge metal or panel, then roll the piece down and snap the hook over the cleat until it locks its full length. Lap runs about 1″ in the direction of the prevailing weather and keep the bottom kick locked so the face cannot bow. Cut and lock outside corners on site or order the corners made with the run. We fabricate the fascia and the cleat — we do not install; the general trim guide covers the related edge details:
